Well, those aren't the brains I am studying, but the brain was the topic in my Anatomy and Physiology class this week.
Word of the Day:
(I like the long, weird words)
corpora quadrigemina:
This structure is part of the brain stem. It has the reflex centers for hearing and vision. In other words, it initiates reflex responses to visual or auditory stimuli. For instance, when you hear glass break, it's a normal reflex to turn and look towards the noise.
Did You Know?
(interesting or amazing facts)
Of the 12 cranial nerves, there is one that is entirely devoted to the muscles of the tongue.

Hey, your recipes sound great! And congrats to you for going back to school... I didn't read back far enough to find out what degree you're pursuing, but I'm guessing it's nursing or med school or PT or something similar.
I will try to stop back soon and maybe try some of your recipes!
(I came here by googling the ingredients of a casserole I made up, with browned ground beef, onions and red pepper, cooked rice, black beans, diced tomatoes, Southwestern corn, Penzey's Adobo seasoning, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix it all together, bake for awhile, add some cheese on top and bake more till it gets melty. Very delicious, if I do say so myself! :)
